If it doesn’t meet standards, the milk Ingredient doesn’t go in - Nestlé NANGROW 4 HMO

By Sandro Stettler – Fresh Milk Receiption & Specialist

I am Sandro. I’ve been working at the Nestlé Konolfingen since 2011. I am responsible for milk reception and quality checks, and we carry out three quality controls.

First, we smell it. Second, we determine the germ count. And third, we test to verify the absence of antibiotics.

If the raw milk passes all checks, we unload it and store it in the tank. If one of the quality checks is not passed, we reject the milk.

For me, it is important that the milk meets our quality requirements so that our babies can grow up healthy and happy. If the raw milk does not meet our standards, it does not enter our process.
